Here you'll find answers to frequently asked questions about your stay. You can find even more information under "Service". And if anything is still unclear, just write to us!
Our campsite is open from the end of April until the first weekend of October.
Season 2026: April 29 - October 4, 2026
Winter break from October 5, 2026, to April 28, 2027.
Starting from November 1, the booking calendar for the following season will be open.
First, find out which PLACE CATEGORY fits your vacation!
Once you know that, you can jump directly to our booking page .
The booking process:
1. Your request
On the booking page, you indicate the period you want to come, how many people / children will be coming, choose your place category, with or without electricity, and whether you need an extra parking space for the car.
2. Your selection
On the interactive map all places of the category will be displayed. You can immediately see the availability and character of the individual places, retrieve more information with a click, and see the total price right away.
If the right option is not available, you can play around with the categories and times or check the availability calendar to see when a suitable place is free.
3. Your data
Once you have decided on a place, click “Jetzt Buchen”. In the form, enter all the necessary data for the booking. In the free text field, feel free to let us know what equipment you will be bringing.
4. Binding booking
With the button “Jetzt zahlungspflichtig buchen” you complete the booking from your side. You will immediately receive a booking confirmation by email.
The booking is binding on both sides as soon as you have clicked this button and received our booking confirmation by email.
5. Payment
You can immediately proceed to our payment service provider and select your desired payment method and pay right away.
Or you can cancel at this point and pay within 7 days via the link on your personal booking page. You can find the link in your booking confirmation email.
No, you don't have to …
… is the simple answer.
Every camper is warmly invited by us to fully enjoy the adventure. To embrace it, to let things unfold. That the right spot for you is there with us – or you may need to move on if it doesn't fit at times.
This style fits particularly well with our meadow by the lake, our “hiker's meadow“. There is usually still a spot available for hikers with bikes, canoes, or on foot. However, larger groups should definitely register in advance here as well.
The “risk” that we are fully booked is greatest for campsites from mid-July to mid-August and during Ascension and Pentecost. Fixed accommodations are also very sought after. For a summer vacation in a family accommodation, one should book early, i.e., from November 1 of the previous year.
Travel spontaneously – quick, interactive query
Additionally, you can very quickly check through our interactive booking page whether there is still space for your camp with us, or in the availability calendar on the booking page, when something will be available. You can view the availability calendar in the desktop version after starting a request with “show sites” on the booking page .
…But you can, if you want to plan…
We can't do without a booking system (we have considered it!), because most guests want to know in advance when and where they will stay, and we can understand that well – especially when one has to plan many things around a modern life.
…and you help us to organize the campsite well.
It is also valuable for our planning if most guests book: This way we can adjust to the very different needs throughout the season for the shop, café, and grounds and prepare your visit as best as possible.
The cancellation conditions for a booking are described in our Terms and Conditions under "8. GENERAL CANCELLATION CONDITIONS".
In particular, the following cancellation fees apply:
- up to 43 days (more than 6 weeks) before arrival: € 20 cancellation fee
- 42 to 8 days before arrival: 50% of the rental price / at least € 20
- From 7 days before arrival: 90% of the rental price / at least € 20
We recommend taking out a cancellation insurance.
For example, the HanseMerkur travel insurance, which covers typical cases of cancellation, offers various options, and is affordable. A reserved parking space also counts as a rental object.
A cancellation due to having other plans or because of bad weather is not covered there either.
However, an unexpected serious illness (medical certificate for travel incapacity) of a travel companion or a relative at home who needs care; the repetition of an exam; changed employment conditions … and many other good reasons why one must cancel or interrupt a planned vacation.
Through the link you can access the online form of the insurer, where you can find out about the exact contract conditions and take out the insurance directly online if it seems suitable to you.
On the page Pitches we explain what typically exists in a spot of the respective category. There you will find our recommendations.
Or you can follow these two steps:
1. Car-free camping Pitch?
The first decision is whether you will camp car-free in a tent or with camping companions. If you want your car at the tent, this is only possible in the front, non-car-free area, where the camping companions (vans, campers, motorhomes, caravans…) are also located.
2. Choose Your Pitch Size!
The second decision is how much space your camp needs.
There are small (S), medium (M), large (L), and extra large (XL).
For a good occupancy compare the dimensions of the spot and the pitch with the size of the objects you want to place – and how much space you still need around for: comfort distance, camping kitchen, dining and chill-out area …
The dimensions of the spot and the pitch will be displayed to you in the pop-up of the interactive site map during the booking process on our booking page.
The pitches in the area for camping vehicles & Co. are categorized by the size of the camper van/caravan that fits well here.
Size S is for a Bulli or small caravan up to 4 m.
Size M is for a Bulli plus awning or a small tent plus a car at the tent.
Size L is for a motorhome/caravan up to 6 m or a medium tent plus a car at the tent.
Size XL is for motorhomes and caravans over 6 m or large tents with a car at the tent or a camp consisting of 2 families/small group – please pay special attention to the maximum occupancy of the individual spaces!
If your camp consists of several components, look for the spaces one size larger and pay attention to the individually specified maximum occupancy on the booking page.
The car-free pitches are categorized by the size of a tent that fits well here.
Size S goes up to 5 m², which is a small 2-3 person tent.
Size M goes up to 12 m², which is a normal family tent for 4 people.
Size L goes up to 20 m², which is a larger family tent for 5-6 people.
Size XL is for tents over 20 m², multi-family camps, and small groups.
The square meter specifications refer to the ground area of the tent – without guy ropes. There is sufficient space around for guying, tarps, seating in front of the tent, etc.
Several smaller tents can also stand on one pitch – how many tents of which size fit is indicated in the maximum occupancy in the pop-up on the booking page.
Especially for large and very large tents, please note the specifications for the pitch area in the pop-up on the booking page when selecting your individual parking space. This refers to the footprint of the tent. Guy ropes fit beyond that. The area measurement gives you information about the total available area of the pitch.
In this case, book a pitch in the category "Stellplatz" (not "Auto-frei" (car-free)), which is large enough.
The size should be one number larger than for the tents:
For example: For a medium tent up to 12 m² plus car at the tent, please book a pitch L.
The car must fit on the pitch; it must not be on the path or on the neighboring pitch, which is important to us. Please note the maximum occupancy information.
If we or you determine on-site that your car does not fit on the booked pitch, you will have to book an additional paid parking space.
Not every pitch that can accommodate campers and caravans also allows parking!
Please check the description of the individual pitches in the pop-ups on our booking page!
(The exceptions are the "small group meadow" in the middle of the campsite and in the rear area of the campsite near the car-free tent pitches. It is not good for the ground and the ambiance there.)
Basically, a booking or reservation is a mutual promise: We do not give the pitch/accommodation to anyone else, and you come and rent it. There is no such thing as a "non-binding reservation" in this sense.
If you have any questions that we can clarify together, just get in touch with us. Our team will gladly accept your inquiry.
Otherwise, book a pitch/accommodation of the appropriate type and everything that is already certain. You specify all persons who have definitely confirmed and all extras that you intend to use.
You can add additional persons and extras later on your personal booking page. Or add them on-site during check-in with us.
The date should be correct. Changing a booking date is considerably more difficult. If you shorten your stay, the cancellation conditions apply. If you extend your stay, you need luck that the same pitch is still available for a longer time.
In general, an “upgrade” is easier than retracting part of the booking.
Sometimes, on the interactive map of the booking page no camping spots or accommodations are displayed. This means that there are no available sites or objects to book for the requested period.
It is likely that your request is outside our season, which runs from the end of April until the first October weekend.
You can find our prices and how they are composed on our page Price . On the Booking page, the total price will be displayed immediately for every request. In your booking confirmation, you will find a detailed breakdown of the total price.
No, you don't have to. If you just want to charge your phone or other devices occasionally, you can use our free mobile charging station – you don't need to book extra electricity at your parking spot for that. Alternatively, you can charge your electronic devices in the sanitary area or for a small fee at the reception.
Please select at the booking page the category "Finnhütte mit Aufbettung" (with extra bedding). Then you can book a finnhut with 3 mattresses for up to three people.
If you only choose "Finnhütte", the number of people is limited to 2.
In our Finnhuts with additional bedding, even small families with two young children have stayed overnight. So it works well and can be very nice!
However, since it may not be suitable for everyone, we would like to communicate with you in advance.
Please contact us directly. You can find our contact information in the footer.
Camping on the Meadow by the Lake
Groups of 10 or more people who will all be sleeping in tents are well accommodated on our large tent meadow and should register with us. We will make a reservation for you. Please send an email to
Small groups of up to 10 people who are only staying briefly (up to 4 nights) can book on the tent meadow. Please select the category "Zeltwiese" (Tent Meadow) on the Booking Page. The number of people per booking is limited, so please make multiple bookings if necessary.
Camping on Pitches as a Camp
A larger, connected camp is also possible in our little woodland and on our "Kleine Zeltwiese" (small group meadow). You can browse online on our booking page in the categories Pitch S-XL. The site descriptions indicate what fits together and how many tents of each size can be accommodated. You can independently book multiple pitches there. You need to make one booking per pitch.
Particularly nice pitch combinations for tent groups can be found in the car-free area. So feel free to check the car-free pitches. You can also book parking spaces in the desired number additionally.
Or you can contact us directly, and we will advise you. It is best to select pitches by phone.
Your friends have already booked and you would like to join?
Check the site description: If the maximum occupancy allows it, you can camp on your friends' pitch. You do not need to make a reservation for this. You can register on site at the reception and only have to pay for people and extras (e.g., parking) for the nights you stay.
If the maximum occupancy is exceeded, you would need to take a separate pitch or camp in the tent meadow. This can be done spontaneously or with your own booking on our booking page.
Common Period
Two to three friendly parties fit perfectly in our “XL” pitches. Check out the pitch descriptions for “Stellplatz XL - Auto-frei” (Pitch XL – car-free) and “Stellplatz XL” (Pitch XL) on the booking page.
This works if one person books a common period for everyone.
Of course, you can also coordinate with your friends and simply reserve several adjacent pitches of the types that suit you. On the site plan, you can see from the colors and symbols which type of pitch the sites have.
Overlapping Periods
If you are arriving at slightly different times, please book adjacent pitches separately.
Mixed Camp of Tents and Camping Vehicles
For a mixed camp of tents and vehicles, even with parked cars at the pitch, you will find suitable spots in the front area up to pitch 201 or at the very back in the 300-numbered sites.
Tents are allowed on all pitches - the opposite does not apply to camping vehicles. In our “Haselort” (Hazel Place), the car-free tent area from pitch 202 onwards, there are individual pitches where camping vehicles are also allowed. These are marked on the site plan with the van symbol (pitch No. 238, 241, and 248) and are available in the interactive booking as “Stellplatz” (not car-free). Parking is not allowed here at the pitch – please use the nearby parking row if necessary. Therefore, a small mixed camp (e.g. 238 + 236 or 241 + 242) often looks particularly nice here.
Need Advice? Of Course!
If you find it difficult to find a suitable pitch combination, we are happy to help! Just send an email to

Hiker
As a hiker in the tent meadow, you can check in on-site at the reception the next morning. Or you can do everything online: book online, pay, and check-in online on your personal booking page (link in the booking confirmation email). Done!
For online booking, select the category "Zeltwiese" (Tent Meadow).
Spontaneous
Are you traveling spontaneously, have no place with us yet, and are arriving late?
Check online on the booking page to see what is still available. Or call ahead and we will tell you which pitch you can arrive at. Everything else will happen the next morning.
Wi-Fi with limited capacity is available on our terrace, in the café, and on the bathing meadow. It is intended for sending and receiving information and messages. It's not really suitable for streaming movies or online gaming. For video conferences, there is the business Wi-Fi.
Young people from the age of 14 are allowed to camp without parents or adults – but only with their consent! You must bring a written consent form from the legal guardians FOR EACH YOUNG PERSON ON PAPER.
You can stay in a tent or a Finnhut. If you want to make a reservation, the booking must be done through a parent. It's best to send us an email or call, because only at the reception can a booking be made without adults.
It's also important for us that you know we are not a party place. Quiet hours start at 10 pm, and even during the day, music & Co. may only be played at tent volume – meaning very quietly.
If you come to spend a nice, independent, and nature-connected time, you are exactly right with us.
Booking for the upcoming year will be released on November 1 of the previous year.
This way, everyone has the same chances of getting a spot, especially for booking fixed accommodations in the high season.
Of course, we are happy to provide personal assistance as well.
