Canoeing

Explore the lakescape from the water and rent canoes, kayaks, or stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) from our canoe rental. The Ellbogensee is the ideal starting point for various tours through the Kleine Mecklenburger Seenplatte (Small Lakes Plateau).

Even a canoe trip for shopping to Fürstenberg is possible, where there is a canoe camping site right in the city.

We offer canoes for 2, 3, and 4 people, as well as two kayaks for 1 or 2 people and 6 popular stand-up paddleboards (SUP), always including life vests, paddles, and barrels. The distribution of boats and boards takes place daily from 10 to 11 a.m. and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the boathouse; reservations and payments are handled at the reception.

Can you reserve canoes or SUPs in advance?

• An advance reservation before arrival is not required.
• Boats can only be reserved on short notice at the reception. Once you have checked in as a guest, you can reserve a boat. This is free of charge and can be canceled or postponed without cost.
• Since it often depends on the weather and daily dynamics whether our guests want to paddle, we do not accept reservations before arrival.
• Payment is made at the reception just before the rental.

Only for Ascension Day and Pentecost do we make an exception and allow reservations in advance under strict conditions:

If you want to reserve the boats before your vacation, this is only possible with prepayment of the invoice amount. Only full days can be booked. In case of cancellation, we will charge:

• Up to seven days before the first booking day, a processing fee of 20€ for the entire booking,
• within the week before 20 € per boat,
• from the first booking day on, the full invoice amount.

This way, you can enjoy the breathtaking nature of the lakes from the water either spontaneously or with a plan.
