The Müritzeum presents the beauties and special features of the Mecklenburg Lake District (Mecklenburger Seenplatte) and the Müritz National Park in an interactive exhibition. Visitors are granted insights into the habitats of forest, water, swamp, and air. In Germany's largest aquarium landscape for native freshwater fish, one can observe almost 50 different species of freshwater fish, crayfish, and aquatic plants in 25 tanks.
